Hey, just got started on my new redfish rod and its coming along great. I got the Fuji reel seat with matching cork grip already fitted and awaiting a fresh batch of epoxy.
Update: A problem occurred with the reel seat and rear grip...they were already attached. Long story short I had to over ream the grip so I could slide the reel seat over the butt end of the blank then add my tape arbors to fit. Now that that is done I can finally put some epoxy on the blank and get this thing moving.
Finally got the grip seated properly and just put the epoxy on yesterday. I also got the guides placed yesterday but did not get a picture of them, however, I will do so as soon as I can. The guides I am using are the Fuji K series guides. I have not used them before but I have heard that they are really good.

Did some test casts with my guides set at the intervals that my calculations suggested, heard a little line slap, so it's back to the drawing board to see what I can come up with for round two.
